Default Is 1/2 inch head studs necessary?

I'm about to replace a head gasket in my turbo eg hatch, Ive been using ARP studs for all my build and I haven't had any issue with them. I just wanted to see what head studs are you guys using to keep the head from lifting. Thanks guys.

There's no reason for the half inch studs unless you're trying to make 1000+hp. the cosworth m11 studs are another good option for extra clamping force without having to modify anything but if your current studs are fine then don't **** with it
