Default '07 Civic Si Sedan - Help with choosing turbo

I just picked up my first Civic. I am looking for a small bolt on turbo. I don't want to upgrade the clutch or anything else if possible. It's more of a "I have a turbo" thing. I don't road race or anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe a good brand and website would be good. Thanks.

You ARE aware a turbo is different from a 'bolt-on' exhasut or a 'bolt-on' CIA, right? You need the turbo, the charge piping, the oil fee/return lines, the wastegate, the special exhaust manifold, the downpipe, the injectors, fuel management, bov, and the list goes on to add up to $1000 for the most basic kit.

Maybe you should stick to NA strap-ons like your GF?

Yup, it's a K20. Called my dealership. Other info is below. I was thinking about spending no more than $5k for a kit. Just something simple without upgrading everything else. If I really wanted something fast I would ride my turbo GSXR1000. not many 8sec streetbikes in my area.

• 2.0-liter, DOHC i-VTEC® engine
• 197 hp @ 7800 rpm
• 139 lb.-ft. of torque @ 6100 rpm
• Helical limited-slip differential
• Drive-by-Wire™ throttle system
• Close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission
• MacPherson strut front suspension
• Multi-link rear suspension

Just wondering and not trying to be an *** but why would i need to find out what motor it comes with? the 2007 civic si only comes with one motor. if we are buying something for a stock car we dont say we want a part for this type of motor, we usually say we want a part for this type of car.

http://www.greddy.com/products...ry=15

pn#11550028 retail $4295.00

then take it to an autorized greddy retailer/installer
probably looking @ $6000 installed

if you are looking for a good bolt on kit this it may not be the best (i prefer full-race) but im not shure they have kit for it .

BY the way if you go with the greddy kit dont use the emanage I beleive Hondata is working on a reflash for use with the greddy kit makes more power and isnt such a bitch to install

you guys are being ridiculous. Just point him in the right direction and let him be on his way. This guy is a shops' prefect customer, so why not let his wallet take the burden, and leave the dude alone? No where does it say that on H-T you must know all, and do all. Just take it to a reputable shop, and they can take care of you!

If I had a turbocharged liter bike, I would leave my DD stock and reliable and not worry about just "having a turbo to have it".

Its around $600 for just a reflash, which is just an expensive way to chip the new ecu. This isn't the best for tuning. More than likely, if they do come out with a fully-programable version, it will be like the other crap - requiring an RSX ecu. They're taking the easy way out of making the ecu work with the vehicle, rather than 'hacking' that particular ecu. From what I know, its the drive-by-wire that is the biggest issue, so they may have to reinvent the wheel on this one like they originally did with k-pro.

In other words, thats likely another $1200-$1600 for the tuning. This is what makes the D17 useless to modify, much less swap.

Have fun installing that kit. If any of you have seen the 07 Si engine bays... everything pretty much sits under the dash, lol.

Greddy is pretty much your best bet in my opinion. Hondata does not plan on releasing anything for this application to date since they cannot crack the ecu yet.
