for some reason my car is fluxuating boost. It goes up to 7psi the down to 5psi and back up, and it keeps doing it. I've checked all my vacuum lines: no leaks. And my bov is almost completely hard. Anybody got any suggestions??

 

if the wastegate is set for 5psi, then 7 psi might just be the turbo spiking

 

nah i got the 7psi spring in it. thats the problem and i'm thinkin the spring in the bov is gettin weak, therefore opening up under the right amount of boost.

What bov are you using?? Almost all BOVs should be able to hande 7psi.

 

hks racing bov, which i know can handle way more than that. But i probably got the bad one out of the bunch....go figure....

 

yo, noob. give a full list of your set up, minus the bull ****, i.e. altezas, and guages. then we can help more.

 

What wastegate are you using?? I know the deltagate coes with springs that vary PSI, the tial on the other hand at .45 bar is 7.25lbs of boost basically.

 

i'm runnin a 35mm deltagate with a 7psi. spring. as for grimis16 i don't run altezzas there buddy, my setup:
turbonetics t3/t4
35 mm. deltagate wastegate
hks racing bov
all turbonetics piping, downpipe, and manifold
Apex'i S-AFC
B&M fuel pressure regulator
Vortech 12:1 FMU
Inline pro headgasket
also got 390cc. injectors and a walbro 277 fuel pump on the way.....

 

yeah grimis he doesnt have altezzas he is a racer so he uses the hks RACING bov
duh...

 

i have that deltagate......(suck face ******* POS)

i also have the 7psi spring in and i will only get 5 psi max...

give turbonetics a call and see if the will exchange...that trash *** **** in for that new evolution wastegate...that's what i'm doing

I believe it's your wastegates. That's why everyone gets tial instead of delatgates. They have a poor design or they just have a sorry spring.

Definitely the wastegate, the springs are crap in the deltagates. At least you are having a problem not reaching full boost and not a problem with creeping or spiking.

Shut up queer. He is asking a real question and you have nothing helpful to say. Id be willing to be that the deltagate is your problem. I have heard nothing good about them.
