Default * Catch Can Issue *

Another catch can post!!! Been running a Level 7 cap to a Vibrant dual port catch can. The cap and lines look like this after a few drive cycles 300 miles or so. Car smokes at idle and tapers off as the car gets driven more/warmed up. Still smokes under load but very faint puffs. Upon idle and free revs after a 20min drive it doesn't smoke under these conditions.

I know most catch can setups have a more milkshake appearance versus how chunky my setup looks. Anyone had similar issues? Thinking of running 2x 10an just off the back of the block and deleting the Level7 setup.

I'm running a Garrett GT3076R with a 4AN line and .035 restrictor along with a Turbosmart OPR.

My engine oil during oil changes comes out normal as well as oil within the VC.

Route it back to the block and never worry about it again.

Check the lines and fittings again after its nice and hot. Not just warm. That way you can rule out condensation. Which is seems excessively thick for condensation

Running E85 will suck moisture into the motor which makes the issue you have pretty common. After the car gets good and hot it normally burns off the moisture. This is why you always see e85 cars steam after startup, especially if the car has been setting for a while. I wouldn’t recommend short trips where the car never has time to burn off moisture if running ethanol. My lines have become clogged up before from sludge as well, so I clean my 10an lines and catch can regularly now. Also change your oil WAY more frequently
