D15B7 surging idle
So here's my story.
The motor has been running fine for months.
Earlier this week I poured some oil in, but forgot to put the cap back on... Anyway, even with the oil cap off, the car was running just fine. The next morning I realize I forgot to put it on, so I do so and go to work. That's when problems started. Idle jumps from 500 to 2500. Most threads around here point to IACV and I realize that. I just want to know if you guys have any other ideas, since it started after my engine bay got sprayed with oil coming out the open oil filler.

Re: D15B7 surging idle
there were no CEL. Just a surging idle.
I cleaned the IACV, and also tried a different one with no better results.
Next step is the FITV I guess?

Just in case someone runs a search for a similar issue...
FITV turned out to be the cause.
When I pulled it off the motor, parts inside were simply wiggling around. I did not have to open it and put it back together since I have a parts motor sitting in the garage. I just swapped the part.
