the performance difference is negligible. It might decrease the effeciency in theory but in actuality, you'll only be running around .5 degrees more. My brother's teg was turbo'd with a flat black intercooler earlier in the summer in arizona and it worked just fine. Just hit it with a few light coats and don't clog the fins because that's what's doing to cooling, not the face of the intercooler.

make sure you use a good metal paint or it could come off to easy. like in the rain on the high way or something like that. it will just wear off. good paint.
