nah

the new SPORT COMPACT CAR MAG has a big thing on it where GARRET tested painted black intercooler and nothing happend at all....

Should something happen. Most people paint the intercooler black to hide it not to get a performance gain.

Im gonna paint mine pink, i heard that it decreases the temp by at least 40 degrees
