Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted*** (MidwestAutoWorks)
I have forum that caters to Exoskeleton Cars like the SL-R and the Atom. SL-R is kit version that cost 16k, add engine, trans etc. Maybe 25k into the car. The Atom starts at 52k with a putt putt engine. Need reliable person that will provide a engine package and information.

Re: (Garcia-Racing)
I figure 3 engines with matching trans ecu and Etc. Some of the fine details are still in the development stages.

Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted*** (Karlo)
We've done several B-series builds for customers using them in kit cars.
The ones that the customers have sent us went in Marlin 5EXi and the GTM Libra.
We've done some race motors for a team using another British racing kit car, I forget the name, but I remember they were using it for a road racing class in Florida.
We would be interested in working out packages for you. email me at sales@exospeed.com

Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted*** (Karlo)
you could try buying brand new k20a engine swaps from honda i was talking to rc_lyle about the one hes getting so pm him for more info, once again thats brand new factory specs
engine building you should ask laskey racing they have pretty good rates, ship them a portflow head(or stock ported head if your doing k20 is fine in stock form) and a core block/crank and they can do the rest transmissions you should buy brand new from honda, i belive around 17-1800 for a b series type r, and around 1900 for a k20 type r

Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted*** (Karlo)
and 200+whp NA for the "lower power" model, and 270+whp(300+whp NA if you do k24) would seriousley break some necks in the car i assume it weighs around 1500pounds like the atom?
brake ducts on the front are sweeeet
but i think you guys should really consider a higher reinforced point on the front and maybe make the rool hoops a little bigger in the horrid event of a upside down landing
p.s. i am from the nw, might be interested in one of those especialy if the seats are regular bucket type and hopefulley the brakes are a pretty standard size and engineless so i can make my own pimped my ride version

I have a salvage license and have access to thousands of motors.
However I wouldnt be a big help when it came to wiring them in a chassis other than that of were the original motor came from

Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted*** (Karlo)
you should really do brand new k20a swap so you have a precisely assembled, no bs, brand new engine so you dont have to worry about finding all the matching cores you need, and cores will always be dirty anyways, you cant have a line of those cars with all diff engine codes and dirty looking engines.

The block, head and transmission alone is about $9000.00 from Acura. that doesnt include the injectors, fuel rail, intake manifold, throttle body, clutch and flywheel, head gasket, head studs, valve cover, sensors, exh manifold, and so many other parts.
If you actually pieced it out, I bet it will be in the $14,000 or so for a STOCK K20A motor. not the best deal in my opinion. brand new swaps from honda FTL

yeah but for this kind of a car what are you going to do? list a disclaimer on the contract that your car might have a k20a,k20a2, or k20a3 block? plus its not too extreme of a build so you dont have to worry about all your customers blowing up engines.
talk to opak racing, see how much you can get a k20a swap brand new for if you buy 20 swaps per order

Its not that difficult to buy a WHOLE K20A2 or whatever in large quantities and build them up. We've built race motors for these kit cars and in many cases, they actually dont want stock. They are not buying these cars to cruise around town. Alot actually use them to race in sanctioned events and for points championships. Its a totally different market and age group than what we see here in HT. These are your 40+ yr old racers who arent concerned about spending money to build up a motor. All I know is if they are spending $15,000 on a motor, it better not be stock.
Its also not difficult to totally recondition a whole motor to look like as if it came out of the factory. We actually can get them to better than factory clean without painting the block to make it look flawless.

Re: ***Engine Builder Wanted***
ExospeedAMcrx has the idea about the potential customer. There will be your DIY engine customer that buys the kit, but predominately I think "most" might want a turn key warranted engine.
Here is another Engine bay SL-R picture.
