is .032 a good gap to run for nitrous? mine are at .035 right now. setup is b18a1 bored to 81.5,weisco 11.4:1 pistons, eagle rods, exospeed stage 3 b18b1 head, port and polished, supertech valve springs and retainers, stainless steel valves, brian crower stage 2 cams, blox intake manifold, blox 68mm throttle body, custom intake w/velocity stack, jdm 4-1 header w/2.5 collector, 310cc precision injectors, golden eagle fuel rail, walbro 255 fuel pump, running 109.5 octane, on a zex 75 shot kit. ive ran the 75 shot for 2 years now but with stock motor. just built the motor and put it back in the car. any suggestions on the gap?

I'm running boost right now but I want switch to ITB and nitrous, I'm running
9.6:1 comp. I want to go with higher comp. Should I do that or keep the lower comp for the nitrous.
Is anybody running this set-up???

if you wanna risk blowing the spark out, sure.

It only takes 2 seconds to gap 4 plugs.

why are you going all-motor/nitrous? what are your goals/desires?

he throttle bodies point to the direction of allmotor responsivnes with extra power at the push of a button. lovely combo if you ask me!

but such a low cr makes for crappy allmotor performance and oke nitrous behaviour. bump your cr up to about 1:11.0 and have good fun allmotor, and a blast on the spray, and go mad on the strip with some highoctane.

~200whp allmotor + 100shot on the street and 150-200 on the strip

^^^
That sounds like it would be a fun build LOL

Quick question though i have got all my stuff in just waiting to get wired/tuned but i was talking to someone(just another car enthusiast) today and he was mentioning that with out running a purge kit to clear the lines i stand a much higher chance of blowing my motor?? I mean i know running a purge kit makes it hit much harder but running but does but does it increase my chance of popping a motor if i don't?

not purging means a soft hit, sometimes even a stutter before hitting

WHY?

because the nitrous is'nt there yet, but the fuel allready is. that results in a split second running pig rich. and as we all know, the fuel can wash out your rings but also blow out your ringlands.

running rich is almost as bad as running lean, so yeah, purge kit is somewhat of a neccesaty if you like your engine

Even when just running a dry 50 shot? You would think that to run a 50 shot its not gonna require that much fuel and for that second it could wash the cylinders? I can see that when running a larger shot?

hope these fall under the "flat top" category. Very high compression as u can see by the mountains on those slugs. NA will be looking at 250 WHP, and I want to throw a 200 dual stage on top. direct port, and wet through intake. Will most likely be running a seperate fuel cell of 114 octane. Motor will be on 100 octane NA..... more details as I get it done.

wow that was alot of reading those 57 pages
