winter tuning questions..
well finally retuning my own car. gonna street tune it
is there any major difference in tuning with cold weather or you just go by tuning like it was summer. might be a stupid question lol
have a turbo z6 stock engine. noww the only thing i can never understand is ignition timing. its gonna be on 10 psi with ebay "50 trim" turbo
say you retard timing 1 degree per pound of boost so is it like....
simply retard 1 degree from what stock timing is or is it like 1lb -1 degree 2lb -2 degree etc hard to explain what i mean

Biggest thing is to make sure that your engine is up to operating temperature before you start making any adjustments.
IIRC If you use a timing scalar as provided in most tuning software that would be -1°/lb from the stock timing for each instance in the map. It is cumulative to the stock timing!

thank you im using s300, can anyone answe me this, my car will never heat up according to the temp guage in the cluster unless u let it idle and sit still. im guessing from the cold air hitting the engine when moving, so is it gonna be impossible to do? last question haha, now i had my car turbod during summer and put my kit back on for the hell of it and it has like no vacumm, wont even let the bov work. and theres no leaks! now what
Yes, this will retard your ignition values for each additional pound of boost (in theory that is). You don't need to modify each one at a time lol.
