P2P or P2T? What to do.
I have a 97 civic ex with a jdm b16a swap. The current ecu it has is the P2P(stock ex one) and I have a P2T(from 99-00 civic SI) I wanted to use the P2T, but im not familiar with this stuff, thought it was pretty simple, but it does work. I have attached pics. P2P fits fine but on the P2T there is no spot for the small plug on the left. I belive the guy I got it from said he had the ecu chipped. not 100% sure

The p2t is obd2b. Your car is obd2a.
You can use an obd2a to obd2b ecu jumper, however they are expensive & you would throw codes for obd2b sensors you don't have.
Do your self a favor, buy an obd2 to obd1 ecu jumper and chipped obd1 vtec ecu.

Yes, as previously suggested a jumper from OBD2A to OBD1 and a Hondata S300 equipped OBD1 P28 will be much better than the 99-00 Si ECU..

You could also buy a obd1 ecu with obd2a plugs installed so you don't have to use an adapter harness.

If you are going turbo down the road I would recommend you purchase the boost control bundle with the hondata so you are ready to go!
