Default Tuning ITB Setups...is it difficult?

Wondering if anyone has any insight/experience with running a B16/B18 ITB setup in Canada. Not going to be a daily driver but would like it to be able to run fine daily. A lot of people keep telling me it will be a pain to tune, any ideas/help? Thanks, Lee.

It's not really a pain to tune. Just different from what most are used to. If you get a competent tuner you will be fine. Generally they're tuned based off of the TPS instead of the MAP sensor or sometimes a combination of the two.

What individual throttles are you planing to run? Are you planning on running them open to atmosphere or with an intake box? What engine management system are you looking at for tuning, Hondata or Neptune chipped ECU or a stand alone EMS?

As mentioned above, ITB 's can be tuned fairly easily, all depends on your setup. There are a few production cars that make use of them.

I picked up a set of TWM ITB's used. The plan in my head is to run those with an ITG brand sausage filter and AEM stand alone. The reason for my worry is everyone that I've told about my plan responds with "have fun tuning" as Canada's weather is so up and down even through the summer.
