Default spark plug reading and ignition timing

Ive been reading up on this lately and not many tuners talk about low load ignition timing.. Can you tune low load ignition timing from reading the ground strap on the spark plug? Is it still ideal to have the color change on the bend? I put a set of plugs in the motor drove the car with the hondata basemap no wot and vacuum above 10in for about ten miles shut car down and pulled plugs and they show the color change very close to the threaded body.. Is this okay for low load cruising? I cant hear knock at any point and dont see any signs of detonation on the plug..
Setup is f20b stock long block
Type s cams
Euro r intake
Ebay header 2.5" collector 2.5" exhaust
Sri
Hondata s300 on h22 basemap
Plx wideband
Afrs cruise@14.5

hmm Im interested to see what people say. To this one. I have never paid much attention to low load ignition. But from what I can see it looks good to me.

Yes me too.. The plugs seem to be ok and car runs great.. I think most peole will say correct way is to use a dyno but i dont have one local.. I just like learning..

are you talking about the first set of rows and columns like in the beginning ?

I only tuned a car for about a month or so, maybe 2. One person told me not to worry about the low load, and only adjust the WOT columns.

For example if I was to advance a certain amount of timing, I would highlight the entire column, and then select the amount of timing I want in that region. I'm no expert, so anybody feel free to correct me.

low load timing would ideally be tuned on a dyno doing load-cell adjustments.
without that though there are other ways, like an egt guage.
or tweaking afr to ideal, then retarding timing and dataloggin, and advancing timing and datalogging, and noting how much the af has shifted and in what direction for each of the timing adjustments. this takes a lot of practice and experience to get to work properly though.

the best thing really to say is that the timing curve is always opposite the fuel curve. peaks in fuel require dips in timing, and dips in fuel require peaks in timing. just remember that fuel curves are linear, and timing curves are actual curves. so when I refer to a peak or dip in the timing, sometimes it means an actual peak or dip, but sometimes it means it just ramps up at a higher angle or lesser angle than the previous point.

All the maps are smooth and afrs are ideal to me.. So if i advance timing and it goes leaner does that mean it liked it? Is it the same concept for wot too?. I understand this is to a certain point.. Maybe an egt gauge will help me.. Is hondata table timing actual timing with no other corrections besides iat and ect? I opened the neptune software and noticed they have some ignition compensation that can be disabled.. Im just wondering if hondata has the compensation but no way to disable it.. Ill be playing with neptune when it arrives is why im asking these questions.. In the mean time thanks for the advice and guess ill just have to take a road trip to a dyno and see if my street tune is lacking.. Only thing i have work off of is 93mph trap speeds in a 2950lb car.. I have a track closer than a dyno..lol

Yes i am talking about the first 4-5 rows.. Mainly 2-4k rpms.. Im sure you could get away with leaving them alone..
