Coil dwell time, spark strength vs timing
I'm considering going to some GM style coils on plug. They allow a longer dwell time in the coil, and a stronger spark than what I have now. Right now I'm running a .024 gap. The increase in the spark will mean I can open my gap up a little, maybe back up to .028.
The question is, with a stronger spark, will it just increase combustion efficiency, or will it cause me to back my timing down some since I'm getting better combustion?
I really want to do the change since I'm running such a high boost level.
