Default Running lean in Vtec!

Here is what my build consist of:

b18c1 block bored to 81.5mm with Usdm Itr pistons.
Gsr head/ Stock ports
Crower dual valve springs/retainers
OEM size Manley Valves
Buddy Club Spec 3+ Cams
Performer X with ITR TB.
Stock 240cc injectors (still looking for injector seals/cushions for my rc310's)
RMF Rep Header
00 b16 tranny
Competition Stage 2 Clutch
Neptune RTP

Problem only occurs when I hit vtec. I street tuned it for daily driving and have no issues.
So I started to tune for my WOT and it seems like I hit a brick wall as soon as Vtec engages. My afr leans out to 18-19 AFR on my gauge and my laptop. Did a second gear pull and 3rd gear pull, same results.

I've done plenty of search with no solution, only thing I can think of is my injectors are bad or are too small. My fuel filter is not even a year old. Shitty thing is I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, which I wouldn't even be able to read while driving it.

Any ideas? I have a short datalog of my 3rd gear pull as I cut off as soon as it starts leaning out. Again I am tuning it with Neptune RTP

What fuel pump are you using?
It is possible your fuel pump isn't keeping up and your fuel pressure is dropping...

Only real way to determine this is by watching the fuel pressure while making a run.

I would simply upgrade the fuel pump regardless.

What are signs or an injector size being too small? I doubt that's the issue but just curious.

The stock injectors are going to be a little too small with those cams. i'd throw those 310's in, install a walbro 255 (as mentioned by mtber), then retune. The easiest way to find if you are running out of fuel from the pump is to watch a fuel pressure guage as you are doing a WOT pull. After you install the new pump, try adding fuel to your maps and if it doesn't change your lambda readings then put in the RC310's.....

The top seals have no fitment issue but the cushion seals don't seem to like the rc 310's. I tried it that's why I had to switch them back out.

What exact issue did you have? The injector was too large for the seal?
Post a picture of the injectors.

Correct the injector was too large for the cushion seal that sits in the IM. It does not sit flush like the OEM injectors do. I will post a picture when I get home from school.

I have used oem lower seals, however this was on a GSR intake manifold.
If you need RC lower seals, contact rceng.com

Thanks for the website. And according to that image, it was how my 310's were sitting. I just didn't like it like that. Plus one of my fuel rail bolts broke into my manifold so it would not be possible to tighten all three bolts down to put pressure evenly on the injectors.

Alright, so I got my RC310 injectors in with OEM rings and cushion.

Now I just gotta go tune it and see if the problem still exist.

Replace your fuel pump with a walbro or get an in cabin fuel pressure gauge to determine if your fuel pump is the issue.

I decided to just get a new walbro 255 fuel pump. Hopefully that is the problem. Plus I thought it was illegal to have an in cabin fuel pressure gauge.

You can get a digital unit :-)
I would try the pump first tho.

New walbro 255 fuel pump same issue. Am I not adding enough fuel? It was fine before rebuilding it. I have added fuel to my High Fuel maps but no difference once I hit vtec at WOT.

How much fuel have you been adding? 5% or 10% at a time?
Maybe you should post your calibration.

I doubt it's a tuning issue. I'll be looking into my wiring this weekend.
