Hello guys,

Last night while mapping a b18c4 swapped EK with b16b cams, we got a major issue. While getting into vtec point mapped at 5400 rpm or even as it was before, the car will knock and air/fuel will show 10.0 and below I suppose. but just after that its fine. If I slowly hold it on the 5400 rpm Vtec point, the car will start shaking and knock as air/fuel will show 10.0. And also, the air fuel will go down to 10.0 each time he shifts gear.

Issue is that there is a power loss point when vtec getting in, it got a walbro fuel pump. But apart from that issue, the car runs good.

Any ideas guys? Thanks a lot.

 

the power loss is probably because it has too much ignition advance and is trying to turn in the opposite direction. also that's what knock is. start with a P73 base and retard ignition, then tune it.
