Need help identifying my ECU
I have this ECU in my EG6 and I have no idea what the hell it is.
It is chipped and I have a couple chips and have settled on a supposed "mugen" chip.
The ECU has a tiny daughterboard and an external connector port.
I have no idea what it is for or who made the ECU.
Any help would be awesome.

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
Any ideas on what I could do with that port?
The chip I have in it now runs super rich. Something like 220 Km/tank.
I had to install an emanage blue to lean it out good. Driving like a ***** gets me around 500 Km/ tank.
I would much rather tune the ecu directly if it were possible.
Can't help thinking I have a decent ecu that i am not utilizing.

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
According to this site http://www.hondata.com/techecuid.html
A P08 is for a D15 EG (Single Cam)
I am running this ecu on a twin cam, with VTEC (daily of course!) without any problems.
The rev limiter doesn't work. O2 Sensor can be removed without any check lights.
I only get a C.E.L when I am in 5th gear cruising at VTEC switch over RPM's. (It's a long drive from Sepang International Circuit back to Singapore.)

You can datalog with that port.
Being a single cam ECU doesn't matter once it is chipped. Yours is.
You can tune it, since it's chipped.

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
When you say datalog, what hardware am I supposed to connect to that port? I have swapped the chips before but I don't have a chip burner. Basically it is just trial and error as far as knowing what these chips have.
The one I am using now has OEM vtec changeover, O2 delete and no rev limiter. I like these settings apart from the no rev limiter.
I am pretty comfortable with ecu wiring etc as I install emanage ultimates all the time for customers of my friends workshop. Thing is, nobody knows what ecu this is here either.
When I bought the car, the previous owner was running motec and he kept that along with his built engine.
I just bought the bare chassis, stock B16 from an EK and had it all put together. It runs fine but I want to know what I have.
Thanks alot guys! I have alot of respect for this forum and I thought someone may have seen this kind of modded ecu before.
Thanks!

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
Ah ok. Thanks!
So would I be able to just unplug that little board and buy something like hondalog to plug it in instead?
Would I be able to log straight away or would I need to modify anything?

But if you don't know what the chip was programed with, then you don't know the logging protocol. So it will be hard to actually log from the ecu without putting another chip in there that has logging support.

Re: Need help identifying my ECU
Hi All,
I know what it is now. It's a Mugen N1 ECU OBD 1
It is now for sale as is without the original chip.
It has a "Mugen" chip in it that runs very rich.
Offer me what you think its worth + shipping and its yours.
Email me for more info / pics / serial number etc
