Does anyone have experience with the demon setup?
I have a p28 ecu with a tuned chip installed. I am about to be ready to up my boost which means (for me) I have an 4.5 hour drive to the nearest tuner. I have had my car tuned before and have the general idea of how it is done. My chip has my car set to run 15psi at all times and that is an issue to me. I am ready to drop to 7 for gas mileage to and from work and crank to something like 20 for saturday night fun. My car previously made 300 to the wheel on a dyno. I had a person write my tune to chip and install in my computer. i have had no problems but I cannot afford the 450 everytime I change something and that is the price for the dyno rental. Not to mention the 4.5 hour drive with my truck pulling a car.
I have looked into the Hondata setup also. They are comparable in price and features according to the website. I have been looking into the demon setup because the setup is designed to be user friendly do it yourself tuning. I have understanding of the A/F ratio and I have tuned motorcycles on the dyno in the past and the dynojet software is the simplest of softwares I have seen. I have never dealt with anything with all the features these setups have so Im just looking for someone elses input.

Lots of people here have experience with Demon/Neptune. It’s a great system and easy to use. You won’t be able to adjust your boost unless you are running an electronic boost controller. Sounds like you aren't running one now which means the Ecu has nothing to do with the boost level, you'll need to get a lower psi wastegate spring. Make sure you buy the pwm boost components when you buy your Demon so the Ecu can control the boost level. Once you have that working you can set boost by gear or use a switch. But you will need a full retune since you are switching tuning platforms.

I appreciate the fast response!!!
I am using a high spring in my internal wastegate paired with a manual boost controller. Oh can I say these are complete crap these boost controllers. My system spikes to 18 when driving at times when my car was only tuned for 15. I am glad to hear some other people appreciate the demon setup. I have been eyeballing it all year. Yes I will need the electronic boost controller for my next setup as the chip served its purpose and served it well it is time to move onto something that I can get my 40 mpg back and for those special people push my button. I also plan on upgrading to a 4 bar map sensor also.
I have done countless hours of searching and this site seems to be the only people who have tried about everything. I have been a member of civic forum for a long time but no one there upgrades their cars to the max. I just finally decided to bite the bullet and make the swap to here because there are tons more people into what I am building here.

Can't say much more good stuff than Muckman but I went from zero tuning experience and installed Neptune and have had great success with it. It is very user friendly and a great setup, not to mention customer support is great as well.
