im thinking of purchasing ectune for my car, im not to educated in all this tuning business so i have a very simple question

with ectune and moates demon is there a way to have a high and low boost setting where i can switch between say 18 psi for track days and 12 psi for daily driving, or do i need like an actual boost controller like one from greddy?

PWM boost control through the ECU is what you'll want... and yes you can have low and high separately.

Right, it's done through the ECU instead of an external controller.

You wire up a switch.

just for additional assurance, yes, you can have a hi/low setting in eCtune as long as you wire an input switch to the ECU.
