B16a2 engine tune
Heres my story. I have a B16a2 in a 97 Del Sol. It has I/E now. Im told if I add injectors/Walbro and an APEXI NEO I'll see significant increase in HP with a good dyno tune? Is this true? Has anyone done it with satisfaction? Other ideas? Experiences?
Thank you
Thank you
Which ECU do you have now? the Stock OBD2 P30?
the NEO is no where near as good as the other possibilities out there for your setup. (convert to OBD1 and go with eCtune/hondata/crome/etc)
to pass emissions drop back to the P30 again for a few days.
Tuning will not result in significant increase, 5hp maybe. (depending on which ECU you have now, if it currently runs like crap you will see/feel improvements)
You're in the right area... hit up http://www.profunctionautomotive.com They know their stuff when it comes to tuning.

Hondata/eCtune/Neptune/crome will all produce a simular power number...
As mentioned before, your stock fuel pump is fine. Don't use an afc, just have your p72 chipped or get your self a chipped obd1 vtec ecu.

You will be lucky to see a 5hp increase no matter what software you use. The biggest benefit you may get from a tune on your motor will be a increase in MPG.
Wait until you have heavier modification to your car before spending money on a tune.
No matter what anyone tells you upgrading your injectors and fuel pump on a basically stock motor will never increase your hp. The only reason for upgrading your fuel system is if your setup has reached beyond the limits of your factory fuel system. Usually this doesn't happen until a nasty full N/A build, and it always happens with FI builds.
Whoever is telling you this is ill informed, and I wouldn't take any of their advice in the future.
Spend that money on something else for the motor.
Good luck
