Well as usual, before posting on here I did my research and I now have a frickin headache! I cannot believe the amount of options and variations when it comes to ECU tuning. I honestly dont even know where to start. I know a dyno tune or $hondata$ is ideal but Im really not tryin to crank 'er out to the max. All I want to do is make some slight adjustments to accomodate for my essentially wide open intake/exhaust and bigger injectors. Is it as simple as a obd2 to usb adapter and my laptop? Or do I really need to do the whole OBD1/chip/socket deal?

You can log data with just a cable and appropriate software on a laptop but you cannot transfer tunes without "socketing & chipping". For a basic setup, I would suggest downloading a program like Crome and familiarize yourself with the software. If you think this is something you are able to handle, then go ahead and socket your ecu and buy a moates chip or equivalent and then you will be good to start writing tunes and loading them to your ECU. I cannot stress enough though the amount of damage that can be done by an inexperienced tuner using this software. I highly reccomend having someone well versed in ECU tuning to help with your tune and if not, be sure not to adjust any parameters that you are not famiar with.
Also, you will need to switch to an OBD 1 ecu, and get yourself an OBD2 to to OBD1 conversion harness adapter. OBD2 ecus are not capable of flash tuning in these methods as the OBD1 ecus are. Since you are writing your own files, the new ecu does not have to be from an accord, and the most popular seems to be the P28 civic ecu as they are cheap and plentiful.

So you mean that $10 +100hp resistor chip on ebay wont work?lol.joking. But thanks man, thats good to know. I was kinda tryin to lean away from a whole new tune, just hoping for a little tweak. but the more i read about it, sounds like the stock ecu map is what it is. So I guess im gonna go shoppin for a harness and ecu.probably just gonna buy one thats already socketed but how exactly do I go about transfering the file to the chip when the time comes? I apologize if i Sound newbish.

You would need a chip burner like a Burn2 from Moates.net or something comparable. This doesn't include if you want to datalog (also available on that site - Hulog). Let alone the "right way" to do it rather than the hacks of purchasing CROME Pro and a realt time emulator like an Ostrich. At that point you are better off going the the very reliable and well supported NepTune because either way you need a ECU.

There are many options like you said, but only a few worth mentioning. The problem you will find is the F22 is not exactly well supported in aftermarket basemaps. This almost always requires you to do a lot of adjustment yourself. This holds true even for your run of the mill B or D series engines. There are always spots that need touching up for one reason or another.
Your best bet in my opinion is to just purchase from someone reputable that has great customer service. Select the premium basemap and you will be much better off.
Chipped P28 ECU - Obd1 Vtec Engine Computer - Phearable.net
It all comes down to just how hands on you want to get and how much you want to adjust. Decide a budget and see what fits the bill.

Lol yea those eBay things and for the most part also GForce and JET chips/modules are all a joke. As far as getting a pre-socketed ecu, that will save you the hassle of soldering and readying the board to accept a chip, but socketed does not mean the chip is already installed. In your cAse, you don't need the full functions of say a Hondata chip, so I would suggest a Moates demon or equivalent which is compatible with some of the free/less expensive software such as Crome, Neptune etc. In a nutshell though, once your new socketed and chipped ecu is hooked up to your vehicle, you would take your laptop and adjust the tune as you see fit inside the software you are using. Once you are completed with the tune, you will connect the laptop to the vehicle/ecu via usb cable and then follow the steps within the software to transfer the file to the ecu which will be similar to just saving/transferring any file from one computer device to another such as syncing files etc. To my knowledge Crome is still completely free to download, so if you want go to their website (tune withCrome.com or something to that effect) and get yourself the software and familiarize yourself with some of the mechanics that may be a good place to start.
P28 ecu, adapter harness, wideband, and Neptune if you want to tune yourself.
If not, contact Xenocron and purchase a "chipped" ecu and a adapter harness from them.
With the minimal mods you have, that's the route I'd go personally.
