Default AEM V2 IQ3 problems

Have AEM V2 and Racepak IQ3. Started setting it all up, was working great and just stopped communicating. Racepak is brand new. AEM will still connect to laptop through Serial port. Use Vnet serial cable, I know its not ideal but its what I was told I needed and I'm not spending another $400 on a can cable. Baud was set to 57xxx and like I said it worked great and just randomly stopped. Dash still shows everything but just shows 0's... All serial telemetry is setup in ems software. I'm just lost. Dash is literally brand new.

Does it still display 0 when you unplug the laptop cable from the AEM? Reason is I have a S300 V3 with a AIM MXL, last time my car was being tuned all of a sudden my AIM MXL started to not display everything. Tried turning key off and on, reloading tune, unplugged laptop from cable, still same problem. Then I unplugged cable from the S300 and problem solved. Plugged it back in with laptop and everything is good to go. It ended up doing the same thing a couple times but then problem has gone away since then.

It reads 0 for all fields no matter what I do. I can upload different settings from laptop to dash still 0. I've unplugged and plugged and killed power about 20 timed. Tried different settings in the dash and on the aem v2. Thought my V2 serial port died.. So I unplugged everything and connected to my V2 via serial cable to laptop without any issues. Its like the v2 is sending data but the logger isn't getting it or isn't reading it. I can't find any settings that aren't correct either.

Yesterday Racepak told me the serial cable wouldn't work, it worked great for about 30min with great data results vs what my laptop told me and then just stopped. Dash is 30min old....

Might be the Vnet cable. That's one of the reasons why I didn't get a Racepak.
