Default AEM EMS compatibility

Guys, im a total noob in this, i Im needing some help.
I have a 99-00 ek4, with B16B engine, stroked to 1.8 with ITR internals.
The thing is im actualy using the CTR (OBD2B) oem ecu and want to tune it well. Im about to throw in a set of spoon cams.

Ive been ofered a used AEM EMS 1020 (came form a 1998 prelude) for only U$400.00, and i wanted to know if its possible to use and tune my car with this or i could face problems.
All i need is a conversion harness?

Thanks in advance, ill really apreciate the help you can give to me.

The unit will work on your vehicle with a conversion harness.
If you have never tuned a car before or don't have any aem experience, local aem tuners etc. I would not recommend using AEM ems to learn on. A system such as hondata s300 would be easier to learn on.

Thanks for the answer.
I wont be tuning it. Its gonna be done by a local AEM and Haltech tuner.
I was going for hondata but no local tuners, and theres only one guy thats just starting with crome.

About the harness. The ecu dosent have the original harness. Should I buy the replacement + the OBD2A - OBD2B conversion harness? or just the conversion one?

You should only need a conversion harness from obd2b harness to obd2a ecu....
