I bought this motor that has block guards and i want to sleeve it, do i gotta remove the block guard or can i have both? sorry i dont even know what a block guard looks like so sorry if its a retarded question :D

No, there's no need for the block guard with aftermarket iron sleeves.

Remove it. If it's welded in you may be in trouble if you're trying to sleeve it. Google block guard and Im sure you'll be able to figure out what it is

Depends on how it's welded, the sleeves you want to run and the ability of the machine shop. Is the guard welded to the sleeves themselves or just the inside of the block like this (ps my block is sleeved and has a block guard). People say it can cause "hot spots" and cooling issues but I've had zero issues in 4 years:

Thanks, i had good luck with darton sleeves so i will stick with them. hopfully they arnt welded. But with my luck there gonna be. ;/

Good luck. If they're welded to the stock sleeves or not, its not a big deal. If the guard is welded to the sleeves then you will have to get rid of the guard. The machine shop will cut it all out, which may be the best way for you to go anyway. If I could go back I wouldnt have both... There's no need because the sleeves are strong enough and people do have issues with block guards.
