I run a stock ls gearing. Over the years it seemed to be pretty close to a GSR from my experance.
with 644whp it went 9.94@152.8 with plenty of room to go in 4th. I am only reving my motor to 9000RPM.

So say I would run IFO on Rae gas (600+whp) will the tranny hold w/o cuffing it?

It should..there are alot of guys with tons of power running stock trannys. I forgot his s/n but there was one guy on here going like 163 or something on his stock gsr gearbox..haha..theres another thread about it somewhere in here

^ thats what i am running right now.... but we are thinkin 1st gear is to high i leave on 2-step w/12psi we are thinkin we have to much wheel speed we are hoping that goin to a straight GSR we will be able to cut the 60ft down a little.

im on a stock gsr tranny with quafe, and im seriousely thinking about the liberty face plating 3rd gear is grinding now and under load on the track its a pain to get in gear lol.

Is anyone using the b16a cable tranny from the 1990-1991 Crx's? I want to use one with an Mfactory 4.928 FD on my 248whp/168whp Gsr swap on 23's.

i am at the moment running a gsr tranny with an itr diff but using a gsr final drive.im tapping the rev limiter about 4 times to finish off the track.im on 24'5 tall 13 inch wheel 9 width.im also running the phantomgrip cuff.that ***** works great.i rev my motor to 9.5.i have no problem with it.2 years and going.i run 10.60@142mph best run.this is the pass of my car at sacramento raceway.enjoy

gsr hydro with an obx lsd here. goes through the traps at about 8000 rpms at a little under 130mph. using a 225/50/15 bfg. i feel it provides a great mix of street and strip, considering i drive my car to and from the track, 2+ hours each way

I've always liked and ran GSR trannys in my boosted setups. To me, the gearing is perfect for track or street. In mine I have gsr 1-4, ls 5th and gsr "ratio" final. with Itr diff. 156mph so far.

2.0 and up

stock jdm b16 with lsd! thinking of swapping gsr 3rd, 4th and 5th gears!
