the plan was to have the realpoorboy drive the car because he was suppose to put his tranny and axles in the car but he was to busy to do it we ran out of time so i figured he would drive the **** out of it and break it so i thought it would be worse if a honda went on the show and broke the first pass than ask for cars guess i was wrong

$300 dollars? That was very nice of them. Did they give it back to you on the spot?

He did try but the thing about it is that I live in alabama where 90% of the racers are domestic and we have to do evey thing we can to get respect so when we(hondas) do such a poor performance on tv I will have to listen to it from everybody that comes in or dyno shop or at the track friday. So the last three or four years of us busting our *** and trying to prove them wrong about hondas just went down the drain. It's cool they gave you your car back I know you had alot of time in it.

yeah i like the respect too, but then once all the arogant domestic hillbillys learn that four bangers are fast too, there will be no one left to show off.

around where i live the v8 guys are asses, but ones from like dallas, NY or NJ they have a little more respect caue there are actually fast imports there.

as for ls turbo pinks guy, you gave it your best, and your car is respectable. honestly i would never have the ***** to go on the show unless i was confident 100% that i could run mid tens all day. i myself get nervous drag racing important races, if that was me i would have let a friend drive.

also i want to ask, wtf kind of intercooler is that, and what is tuning that car?????? what is the afc controller doing in it? it seems like a budget car.

that car is mad heavy too. crx with that motor and chassis bars would be an awesome drag car.

good job. and dont mind the hate its the internet and tv.

I just wanted to post up because the owner of the Honda is posting in this forum. I just wanted to say that I think you did a good job. Nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion. I'm a Z28 owner and prefer V8's to Turbo 4's, but I know that there is NO way my Z28 could ever hang with that Honda you have.

Don't let anybody dog ya too bad bro. You did fine. Again, Good racing.

john whats up man, looks like you could use a little help here.

ok i was there for filming that day so im gonna tell everyone like it is. 1st off, yes the driving def. could have been alot better. secondly if it were up to me the car would have had slicks on it from the beginning. BUT for all you guys crying and complaining about no lsd you might wanna go spend some time at the track. i have run open, lsd, and spool. when your on slicks an open diff is just as good as an lsd. one wheel spins and hooks then the other hooks because your on slicks. i have cut the same 1.6 60s on an open diff as i have on an lsd and im gonna say ive probably spent more time on the track than anyone else on this topic., the only benifit is that the lsd is stronger. so if your gonna cry and hate about something at least know what your talking about first, cry about the driving

and for the record, the car wasnt making boost the first couple passes, otherwise it would have been a diff ballgame. im not saying john would have ended up winning, but the car would have performed much differently.

i give you credit for going on the show and trying, i would never have the ***** to put my car on the line. dont worry about what all these wannabe racers have to say, they are just crying for some attention so i figured id give it to them

You should have negotiated car lengths from the finish line instead of asking for so many from the starting line.

I don't know what you were thinking but when I seen that Trans-Am and what it was running, I would tell that show to go fist themselves if they think I wasn't going to run slicks.

i should have just walked away when i saw the car but i didnt want to look like a ***** and back down. it would give the v8 guys more to talk about, the car i raced should have been alot faster then it was, the car was on uberdata and now on chrome

i switched the setup into a hatch then sold the car. the car is on chrome i am practicing driving on low boost and pump gas so i dont waste so much money and then when i get that down i will go for high boost and race gas i cant wait because the car is running better now than when it was in the coupe.

I've got it recorded.. I wont be able to see it until Sunday but damn... I guess you were in over your head and sort of regret it now? someone flame me if I'm worng, but I dont think slicks are much harder on your parts, only if you dont preload.

Anyway, Sounds like FWD imports have all the more reason to go on Pinks and show that the 4 bangers can run with the V8's (well, with less than 20 car lengths)
