i launch my turbo si at 5500.. and i launch my friends si (stock tires w/ intake/exhaust) at about 4500. both cars i let the clutch out slowly with gradual throttle progression so the wheels only spin a bit and never drop below the initial rpm

what u launch at will determine many things like.....what tires u have....track conditions....how much power your car has. It will be different for everyone.

The main thing that affects my launch is the fact I drive to the track.........and have to drive home. I'm a 3500-3700 and ride the clutch A LITTLE kind a guy

I know soemone with an SI who revs it to 7900RPM's and dumps the clutch. He's running slicks of course. Lenso's with 22x8-13 M&H's. Those B16's dont have enough torque

00 civic si ....i dump the clutch at 3000-3500..i think it works pretty good...i think most should try and practice a launch without wheel spin..but pracitcing breaks things...just my thoughts.....

oh yeah thats launching with steelies..crappy tires

You drive a '00 SI and you have steelies? Did someone steal your factory wheels?

I launch around 3700-4000 with a straite drop, but when feathering I do it around 4800-5000. work's good. Stock Si tires suck!
