i have a question?

i was thinking, is it legal/worth it to actually weld some of the placements to the body for extra strength? i was thinking that i would weld the mount holder to the body for extra strength wherever the torch can get to.... does that make sense?

i'm afraid that these mounts would rip the "holder" from the frame????

or is that a waste or time/money??? tia. choiboi.

Hows the ride quality and vibration factor compared to say some of the other aftermarket mount kits with poly bushings?

Thanks

Has anyone tried just one solid mount rather then the whole set? I am thinking of trying just a solid tranny mount, as all the rest of mine feel nice with inserts.

If you were going to JUST do one solid mount, I would do the rear mount.

Get those stupid inserts out of there and put some quality stuff in their place.

The Pro-series mounts will eliminate any engine movement. This will inturn transfer more power to your driveline and help cut down 60 ft times. With regards to the vibration, it will vibrate due to the fact that it is solid.

These mounts are the ****! Replaced my hasports before the race this weekend and found that my rear hasport mount was busted Will not have to worry about that happening again. The motor does not move whatsoever. The install was no different then any other mount. Avid

Nice to know a motor does not move when you dyno the car, like it's going to flare up out of the car.

Why is the body the same shape as one with a urethane insert? Seems like a lot of extra material/weight for no reason. There must be 1 1/2" of aluminum around the steel sleeve.

To my knowledge they just casted a molding off the original mounts. Looks identical to the original less a urethane insert.

You do understand if you use the 92-95 civic chassis, and you use the 3 bolt mount setup on the timing belt side, you can use the same motor mount kit? Hell, even the 96-00 chassis will work also.

I've seen a couple of the 3 bolt timing belt mounts in 92-95 civic EX models.

You could do it this way as well. But, no need. We have the 2 hole driver mount as well in the Pro-Series.
