here is an answer to all those "where to get solid engine mounts" posts
I hope the fitment works out ok, most of these cars are 10-15 years old and have been around the block. Solid mounts don't give you any room for differences between chassis'. I think that's why you haven't seen solid mounts for sale to date, i know all the ones i've made you have to make and actually weld them on the car because the smallest mis alignment and they just simply won't go in, unlike any other mount where there's a little give.
that was one of the big concerns that we discussed for the 2 years ive been asking them to make the solid mounts. they sent the mounts to numerous people for feedback on the product. its one of those things if your car has been in 45 accidents and the mounts dont fit, than its your car/body shops fault, not the mounts fault lol.
yea when making solid mounts ive always gotten everything tacked, then welded as much as i could while they were bolted in the car. luckily they have all fit, but i'd be pissed if i made a set and they warped and didnt fit lol.

just opened the box with the new mounts. very nice mounts. cant even compare them to avids previous mounts. looks like they stepped up their game a little bit
i'll post up some pictures after i finish this intercooler piping on this supra

It looks like the tranny mount bolt holes are elongated.... are they like this for a reason? I would imagine it allows for alignment of the motor/tranny....
Also what material is pressed in the center of the mount where the bolt travels through?

I have seen that as well, with urethane mounts at that. I've only ever seen it on EF's though. Maybe those stock rear x-members were not up to par?

Joe, I can feel my teeth rattling already.
for showing new products. I think my stock mounts with all 5 inserts is starting to give up. I sometimes have problems shifting...
And I don't even make a TON of power.

Hey, everyone. Here are some pics of it on CFT's SFWD, this is just right before they left for e-town. There are quite a few people running are new Pro-series mounts this weekend, so watch out for it. We will be having many applications to come. Next will be for the EK's...
Good luck with everyone in E-town and we'll see you there.

Hope you everyone like's the pics. I'll have more pics from e-town after this weekend. Thanks to the boyz @ Tempest Racing for posting the test.

No, you don't have to at all. Not with the Pro-series mounts.
Here are some pics from over the weekend from E-town.
I love Courtney's engine bay, damn that **** is clean!

I just wanted to give a BIG THANKS to AVID for sending our motor mounts on-time...
This mounts have been THE BEST UPGRADE you can do as far as chassis & suspension... We have tested back to back suspension, played around with traction bars, but the Avid Solid Motor mounts have substiantially lowered our sixty foot times..
Fitment was perfect and motor is solid as a rock...
We went from high 1.6's to high 1.5's in the 60 foot just changing motor mounts...
I will recommend this motor mounts to all our customer looking to improve their times at the track...
Thanks once again to Avid Racing we definately share the championship with you guys...
Sincerely
CFT
