finally got 11s..
Id say change the tranny if you plan on going faster anytime soon.. but thats me. Even if you put 24.5's on the Maxx speed youd be able to hit is 127mph@8500rpm...i never was a fan of B16 trannys for that reason

ya but you have a gsr.. mine is a ls.. im just sketchy.. i know i wud benefit revving to 8800-9000 because of the tranny and because of the ctr cams and my turbo wud still make power up there.. i wud trade my tranny for a gsr tranny if i found someone to do so.. but i have a lsd and i like it lol.. its my daily driver its fast enough for a while.. i think with out changing any thing it could be a lil faster with cutting down the 60'..

if i stay in 4th ill be on the limiter like 100 feet b4 the line.. id rather shift and keep pulling.. it would slow me down if i didnt shift because im am so far away from the line its not like im on the limiter passing the line its a ways b4 it..
a GSR tranny would definately help you at the big end. Im only turning my B16 to 8K at 11psi on 22" slicks and I actually have about 3-400 more rpms left after the finish. and mine 60fts like crazy-1.59-1.60 running my PB of 11.74 @ 115mph. I have my shift light set to come on at 7700 and it is just coming on about 20 feet or so past the finish. get you a GSR trans and you won't have to raise your shifts or shift into 5th. just my .02 worth.
Nice times. I used to run a LS tranny but now running B16 FD with OBX diff. and GSR internals and LS 5th. I don't shift into 5th running 24.5" slicks and trap speeds of 118. PB 60' of 1.79. if you wanted to keep your LSD, and use GSR gears, all you need is the final drive attached to the LSD and that's it. a GSR is already 4.4 FD. If I could have the perfect set of gears, it would be B16 1-2, GSR 3-4, and LS 5th or a cuff if I was pushing enough power to be lucky enough to use 1 lol. just my .02
The same way the stock rods are holding up with a vtec would they hold with a ls head? Or no because of the amount of torque the ls motor would have at the same hp range 350-400.

the motor would make more tourqe with the vtec head..its all in the tune.. and i rev it because i have valvetrain, and a turbo that needs it..

this is cool, im running ls vtec aswell and with my sc-61 on 11psi my pb was a 13.0 because of only radials and no lsd. my 60 foot was at its best a 2.1 this gives me motivation:D haha awesome car bro. build looks good, and good times aswell!
