Competition stage 4 with a resurfaced stock gsr flywheel. Been going strong for 3 or so years with constant track abuse

The car is still running great! I havent done anything to it lately except for signing up for a permanent number at the track at my last test and tune.

My summer is pretty booked so there wont be too many new things happening with the car. I just got back from California a couple days ago where I went to Disney Land, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Universal Studios so funds are limited for a while.

Well not a lot has changed on the car. Just getting it ready for IFO in a couple weeks. My Duralast battery did finally die after 4-5 years of sitting in the car. Just ordered a SHURiKEN SK-BT20 battery to replace it.

The specs on it looked decent and for only $65 I cant complain.

Nice! I'm interested in how that battery works out for you. I bookmarked that link. I think I might move my battery behind the front bumper and that size would be perfect. Where are you going to mount that battery?

Its just going into my battery box located in the hatch. At some point im sure it will go up front but for now i just need another battery to get the car running again and this was half the price and half the weight of an OEM sized battery so I figured might as well

Battery is set to arrive tomorrow. IFO is 1 week away.

-----------------------------------------

But I will be parting out the car in a couple weeks. I have had this car for just about 5 1/2 years. I have alot of time and money invested in it. Ever since turning it into a track only car it made me really miss having something nice to take out on the street.

I have learned a lot about working on cars just from this one car. This car was actually the first turbo car I have ever been in. Pretty crazy that someone would decide on building a turbo setup before even experiencing what turbo is lol. This is also the first car that I have ever done a motor swap in by myself. I can now do that in my sleep. I love this car and will more than likely regret it but I am ready for something else. I plan on getting another project Honda someday but right now I just want something more streetable.

First day I bought it

Currently

I will be posting up my parts in a couple weeks. If you are interested in anything feel free to PM me ahead of time and I can get you a price.

Battery came in and got that installed. A weight savings of 15lbs!

if you don't drive the car everyday, make sure you have it on a battery tender. i had the same shuriken battery and it lasted a long time for me, it was on my hatch that sits in the garage, i bought a ctek 7002 battery tender for it since i don't drive it everyday.

Getting an EVO. Ill build something else later down the line but AWD and turbo sounds like a nice change. Planning on just doing minor stuff to it nothing major. Later on though I would like to another Honda turbo build.

I actually went and looked at 2 EVO Xs today lol. Probably end up with one. I would like to do another EG hatch build later down the road.
