Default d16z6 vs. b18

has anyone done a b18 swap into an 88-91 hatch??? and if so,, what kind of 1/4 mile times have you posted??? and what can i look at with the cost of the full conversion??................ how fast can i get the z6 with full exhaust, and a greddy turbo pushin maybe 6 psi??? im tryin to decide whether to go b18 or z6 turbo.. i'm lookin for the best bang for the buck,,, my goal is high 12's to low 13's.... the swap will be in my 89 civic hatch DX.... thanx.

If you can go b18b, more and more people are pushing these motors harder every day and they are holding up very well. If properly tuned you can get 12-14 psi out of the stock block. I am currently pushing 10 psi (un-tuned) out of my 1994 b18b. The motor is all original with over 145000 miles, and has been over-revved, leaned out , dragstrip and street abused and still has 180 psi. of compression across the board. This motor has much more potential than a d-series motor. If you can affored to do a b-series motor, do it.

have you ever ran it at the dragstrip?? what kind of times are you gettin out of it if you have??........... after talking to the local civic guru, i've decided to go with the b18 motor.... i'm tryin to find a whole integra that's been totaled tho so i can get the brakes, seats, console, and motor, tranny, and axles... thanx for the reply 99lspwr
