Default which motor to turbo?

i couldn't find a search on this so i was curious what you guys prefer to turbo charged B16a,B18a or B18B, or b18c1 and why, figure i'm not going to build the block just want to know which one of those are best for being turbo as in reliability. thanks

well tell us more of what kinda performance your looking to have. what are your goels? that might help us answer you a bit more. Every one is going to have a different opinion on this.

ok then i'm going to put this motor in a hatch and i would like to run stock boost with which ever turbo i get and brake in to the 12's on slicks.

stock boost is about 7 psi give or take a pound, So that will most likely not net you 12 sec 1/4 miles even on slicks unless you are like the best driver ever. You may be able to turn it up to 10 psi or so and that might get you 12s but then you risk going bangbitch w/ your ****.

If you still wannna try the motor you are looking for is probably the B18B or possibly B18C however the C are about a grand more. So save the cash and save for built bottem end. Then you can run like 15 - 18 psi and give the 11's a high five.

Same here man. I agree with foozeball go with the B18b or B18a preferrably the B18b they improved the airflow(somewhat) on the heads. They make better lowend torque which in Honda and Acura motors is what you are after not necessarily horsepower, it's the torque that's gonna get you off the line. Although you will not be disappointed turbocharging a B18C I heard they take very well to boost. But IMO go with B18b and save some of that extra cash for a built bottom end.

the b18c1 is the best motor to boost.

if your going to sleeve/build it, use a b18b block.
