B20's are very weak compared to a B18 and not recommended over 400hp. Even it your buddies friend ran 900 for 3years and he loves B20's. Weak Weak Cylinder Design and not recommended for boosted applications over 400hp.

In this case for less than 400hp B20's still recommended??? as previously stated you work on the standard sleeve I'll assume you cannot go bigger than 85mm. Am I correct!?

Thanks.

That sucks!! You planning on running a sleeved block this time or another CSS?

Doesn't CSS say they warranty their stuff?

The guy that owns CSS leaves a worse impression than Dave Hsu.

I've literally never seen a more immature business owner. I wouldn't touch a CSS block with a 10 foot pole.

What happened?

Jeff has always been a very helpful and knowledgable person. I've worked with him personally and have nothing but good things to say about CSS and him as a person. So I'm curious where your angle is from.

Right, but that's not the point.

GoAutoworks has a 500+hp D16 streetcar which has been running for at least 6month.

And most impressive is the fact that there has been ZERO customer failure to date.

I know TDC Performance has a Dseries customer running over 500 and it been almost a year now. Other than that no real info to report on max numbers.
Looks like the limit for CSS has been found. Not dissing on this product at all but I feel it does have its place.

I already bought a sleeved motor know css works but remember it's 500hp warranty I was over that it work but if you are pushing it it's best to have a sleeved motor that's all there's no angle I was just updating and yes I be out in about a month sucks because I know that car was moving at tx2k but oh well next time

I believe only if your under 500hp it's understandable and the o-ring was ok when torqued when it cracked it pushed the oring up very curious how that happened but like I said this thing was moving for sure

I've said it before CSS has a place for guys who don't want to spend a bit more money and limit their power to that 500whp range. Most people who get to those types of power levels however always end up wanting to push more and of course you end up with a cracked sleeve.

The thing I never liked about the guy/owner or whoever was the fact that they make it seem like if you send your block in the entire process is $300 bucks and you're ready to go. If you look at their website to get the block done and I mean done in the sense that they have done their process, decked, bored, hone and even o'ring that it is more along the lines of $700 plus.

They also always mention that sleeving a block costs like 2k plus which again is also false, a sleeved MID Darton block is around $1400 done and ready to go, I paid $1250 for my Golden Eagle sleeved and O'ringed block.

So again the CSS process has a place but don't go around saying the CSS process is 10 times cheaper, when in fact it is tops half the price. Also getting a sleeved block for double the price is justified in the sense that it is sleeved, you have more room to up your bore, if you damage a Darton sleeve you can replace which ever sleeve is damaged. Not to mention you can run 1000whp and not wonder if the stock sleeve will last.

Just my 2 pennies.

Out of over 3000 Blocks done world wide. johnie1199 was one of 8 people to "EVER" crack a cylinder without it being catastrophic failure. No sleeving company on earth can say out of 3000 blocks less than 8 sank a sleeve which is comparable since you have to tear down your entire drivetrain and engine to send back the bare block to be warrantied IF you are within there warranty guidelines.

CSS still relies on the factory casting which are far more reliable than some machinist pumping out sleeve jobs.

So 8 out of over 3000!!! I'm good with those numbers. Specially when I continue to post up 800-900-1000HP success stories. Hundreds of them.
