Default Block Posting and Block Guard?

Over the week I have been having a debate with a friend over Block Guards and Block Posting. Neither one of us have Uber knowledge so I figured I'd ask the H-T gurus.

Would It be worth using a Block Guard and Posting the Block(can you say it that way?). It seems like it would work, but I've never seen anyone using it which suggests it isn't worth it. BTW the Block Guard being considered is made by Golden Eagle, $86 at overboost.

This would be for a budget build D16z6

Thanks

Thanks, I saw that thread earlier and it was what helped spark my question, I am more interested in the benefit, if any, of using Block Guards and Block Posting in tandem.

Thanks,

Personally I wouldn't do either. My choices are stock or sleeved.I believe the stock design helps keep the cylinders round thru the heat changes that an engine goes thru. When you exceed the strength of the stock sleeves the braced/posted is only a little stronger. And the sleeves lose the ability to stay round.I'd rather skip that small upgrade and go direct to sleeved. Now I have a large window of reliability again.
