Thats why they need to make classes where everyone in your class all has the same dial in. Its so much better to do it this way. Heads up is for a pro class.

In NHRA the only classes that are heads up are the pro's. Pro Stock, Top Fuel dragster, Top Fuel Funnycar, Pro Stock Bike and the Top Alcohol classes. I may be missing one.

Bracket racing just doesn't work very well with the turbo imports, most are too inconsistent for the most part. Besides, I can't stand bracket racing, I know your talking about index racing, but it's still a form of bracket racing. Good ole fashion heads up run what you brung is good racing.

Having index racing will help the sport get to the next level. I understand about the Turbo cars not being consistent, but consistancy is what wins races. Whats wrong with Index racing where both cars are shooting for the same E.T. You both leave at the same time and who ever gets there first w/ out breaking out wins.
I just think that having some index classes where drivers can dial there car in a class where everyone is on the same E.T. will help elevate the sport. There are sportsman level headsup classes in the NHRA. But there MODS in that class is very restricted. You have to be very crafty and make power from different angles.

i hate index racing for the simple fact that i see many 7 second capable cars running the 8.90? class. why build a car and limit its potential?

I know how the index racing work. We used to run a super gas car a few years ago with my uncle's car with a throttle stop. Had alot of fun, but I just can't see doing that in the import world, it's just not going to happen..

If your car is capable of 7's then you run the 7.90 class. But if your car is running 7's that should be a pro class any ways. Headsup class. I think if you have a few index classes more people will get involved. That means more money comming to the event. More money means bigger payout. More money and more people will bring more companys and more exposure to the sport.

How many people on this board can afford to build a 8-7 second car? **** I know I cant. Maybe if I lived at home w/ dad. And I did not have a motgage, and property tax and etc, etc.
Now how many people on this board could build a 10.90 car?

i'm just saying, i know of a few Domestic guys that run index, and they all run on a throttle stop etc, to me, thats stupid. To me, slowing a car down from its potential, is not acceptable

Running a delay box and throttle stop on a turbo car with a manual will NEVER be as consistant as an automatic v8.. Its not going to happen in our sport. So lets stop talking about it.

ah hopefully you are being sarcastic haha.

He said before the 1st. meaning 30th or 31st. today being the 30th- i would assume that since today is the 30th that only leaves 1 day left- tomorrow.

pero ningunos sentimientos duros

I've been thinking about running the 10.0 index during the week at my
local track. It would give me alot of pass's to setup the cars short times,
just turn down the boost after the 1/8th mile..
