Ok I will get some carnauba wax and seal any input on what brand to get? I will probably only need the 205 on my car but I'm going to do my wife's 03 accord which is a lot worse than mine and it's black so I will probably need the 105/205 combo on that I will definitely get pictures of both cars both before and after . I'm getting excited now for the pads to get here lol

Get what your budget will allow right now. Most sealants/polishes/pre-cleaners etc aren't too expensive, but a good Carnauba wax can run upwards of $200+.

Again, we all prefer different brands, Wolfgang products for me are a very good product, works exactly how I want it to, easy to apply, turns transparent when cutting properties are used up, and not overly expensive.

Black is good because you can easily see your progress, really any dark color isn't too bad. White does suck, have to constantly move angles to see how you're doing

For paint that is swirled, how many times will you use a polish to remove the webbing? I know it depends on how bad it is but how many passes on the high and low end?

Pictures? What product are you using to get the swirls out?

Sometimes you can get it all out with one pass, sometimes it will take three different steps

That's not bad at all... M205 on a polishing would handle all that.

Good looking car. My very first car was a 99 Milano red si. Like mentioned 205 and a black pad or other soft pad will work great.

^^What these guys said. Those are scratches those, not swirl marks. Usually scratches like that are from the car not being wash properly, automatic car washes, waxing with a dirty applicator etc etc

^^That would probably be a question for 98civdx. He's a Megs guy. I'll text him and tell him to respond to you.

I practically grew up using meguiars wax, so it kind of has a soft spot in my heart, but I stopped using it a few years ago in favor of Griots garage Premium carnauba, and most recently picked up some DODO juice wax.

I use the #26 just about daily at work and really don't have any complaints with it. It's very simple to use, goes on easy and comes off easy.
I actually was a big fan of the NXT tech wax 2.0. I went thru about 2 tins of that on my civic and other than it being a little difficult to buff off from time to time, I had no complaints.

If it were between the 2, I would get the Tech wax. Both are pretty cheap, the tech wax is more expensive though.

Can't speak on the Meg's sealants, I've never used them.

Also to the drying part, I use a water blade and Griots drying towel. Work great, a little pricy, but anything along those will work great.

I HATE buffing white cars. I had 2 beat to hell white cars in 2 days requiring heavy buffing. Such a pain in the ***.

I hate the whole "oh white cars don't show swirls". Bullshit they don't. It's just hard to see them.

I compounded with a white wool pad, a white camry, and the customer was thrilled with how it looked when it was done. I'm sitting there staring at holograms/swirl marks and this guy is patting me on the back thanking me for "saving" his car.

If I had any control, the car would have never left like it did.

First person in a very long time, mentioning DODO juice.
Only seen guys on the sn95forum, use the Dodo products.
I never used their products, as I seemed to load up about $150 in the shopping cart; quickly logging out after I notice the price, lol.

Wish I could get over my cheapness, it causes me to be very indecisive; I stick to meguiar's products, so I may control those moments. Products are locally available, and never worry about vatozone running out.

Glad to see someone, outside mustang forums, mentioning Dodo... Juice. lulz

I feel your pain with how expensive some of the waxes/polishes are. If you are going to drop some good money on a wax/polish, get yourself a good Carnauba wax first. Going from a inexpensive Carnauba to good Carnauba is a night and day difference. Autogeek.net usually has some pretty good deals on Carnauba tins.

First time i've actually used any dodo product. I picked up the Purple haze pro, and the blue velvet pro. So far I am very happy with the waxes! i will more then likely end up buying the full size tubs.

I'm at the point where I'm starting to venture into the 'premium waxes', and this was my first purchase aside from the Griots garage premium wax.

I might try the Supernatural Hybrid, or the the Supernatural wax.

Hey guys I just got fantastic news! I volunteer for a program called Street Racing Made Safe. Our mission is to clear the streets of illegal street racing by providing a track to race on for cheap and a "run what you bring" atmosphere to make it fun for everyone. The owner called me this morning and said Top Gear USA called and wants to feature our program!!! And he signed my car up to be filmed!!!!

I'm going to pull the trigger on a DA and supplies to get my cars paint as nice as possible before the filming next week. My paint is in similar condition to the red Civic posted earlier. Can you guys give me some pointers and tips?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry no pics. It's very cloudy and about to rain out here.

autogeek.net has a special for a porter-cable DA and and 4 pads of my choice for 170. I thought that was a good deal.
