Yes, twice. My old vanity plate is signed by Melvin even. He was very nice in person.
The first time I went to see them I got knocked out by a guy twice my size (and I'm a girl). He ran when he saw he'd landed on my head causing me to crumble to the ground. Another concert goer scooped me up and carried me out of the crowd and got EMS to me. he rubbed my back until they could take over and was gone before I could thank him for keeping me from getting trampled next to the pit.
I can't say what I think of Nu-finish since I've never tried it. I've heard of people really liking it, but never anyone hardcore into detailing.

Okay, here's the BMW. I wish it could have come out better, but it has clearcoat damage and there's no going back with just detailing.
The interior, I wish I'd taken pics, came out awesome though. Black leather interior too. It's almost mint.
I didn't even do anything but wash the roof, it was so bad. I compounded the trunk and parts of the hood hoping it'd help, but no luck. I even glazed the hood, but still not much help.

The price really depends on the vehicle and where in the country I am at the time. For example, when I did it in DE, I didn't charge the same that I charge in WA.

the bmw looks hella good.
is the only way to get rid of clearcoat damage remove and respray?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Eran seems to think the guy with the BMW might be able to get it color sanded and re-cleared, but I'm not really sure. I'd like to hear a professional painter's opinion on it instead.

Wet sand. I'm not sure how well it'd work to remove old clearcoat though. Plus I'm not sure how they'd choose a proper clearcoat to reapply.

ya thats what made me always wonder. how to match clear. so my girlfreind cannot find the program to our camera in which the pictures of the trucks are. it may take a few days to get it sorted out and posted up
NOFX, I was wondering if you had time to do a job on my 07 Fit. I am in Tacoma. I would really appreciate it.
If you are unable to, would you know someone else that you trust? Thanks a lot.

today i spent a few hours touching up some scratches
it took me a while to get rid of the marks left by the sand paper. i used 2000 grit, wet sand.
i had the following materials
3m rubbing compound
turtle wax rubbing compound
turle was f21 polish
meguirs scratch remover
and nu finish scratch remover
anyone with suggestions of which stepped i should've followed?
i did rubbing compound then polish and if there was any left i had to use meguirs a few times and it went away after a while

Your '96 hatchback, if it is the stock color, is not Milano Red. It is Roma Red. Milano Red is a 6th gen coupe color in the US while Roma Red only came on the hatches.
You should be able to clean it up this way, but I'm not sure about your particular car. That faded, blurry look is probably just oxidation, which is on top of the paint and can be removed. Clearcoat paints don't fade so much like the old single stage paints did.

The best way to see if a scratch is even with your time is to check to see how deep it is. If you can see the primer (white or gray) in the scratch, then don't even bother trying to get it out because it is already so deep it can't be helped.
Yes you can get the scratch out with sand paper but you do run a very high risk of permanatly damadging the paint if your not very careful or know what your doing.
The different Rubbing compounds sould do the trick, but make sure you follow up with hte rest of the steps ( Polish, wax, glaze)
