Help! 89 Accord Shift boot acquisition
LOL the forums run "prior to 1988" and then 2000 on......
The 89 shares the same body style all the way back to 1984.
I have an 89 Accord and under the console there is a pointed shift boot.
I don't need that pointed one.
Under the pointed shift boot is a very short rubber one with ribs around it
which is attached to the metal shifter tunnel. It was probably put there
as a seal against fumes coming into the car. That's the one I need.
The dealer says no one has them and he cannot get one.
I don't want to put a big "hot rod" type universal shift boot on it.
Where do people get that small short shift boot?
Any ideas? Thanks in advance. -Bob
