Xplod System?
You should stay away from sony if possible, how much are you looking to spend? Give me a budget and what you want/need and I'll come up with a list of stuff to check out. Trust me you'll be much happier if you don't go with the Xplode line, i'm not saying it'll sound like complete utter crap, but you can get something much better sounding for around the same price, probably even cheaper.
I don't want to have a huge system but I wold like to have:
2-3 Speakers
1-2 Subs
2 Tweeters
Amp
Head Unit
Something thats small but sounds good. I don't want to "bump" up and down the street, just play my music well. Don't have a budget, but something on the cheaper (and lighter) side.

Personally...I have had nothing but poor experiences with Sony at work. Plus without an amp, every customer's deck I have put in sounds like **** as a result of the lack of lows. Check into Pioneer or Alpine. Pioneer is probably the best bang for the buck too. Just my 0.02

Were not too found of the Xplod line around here, just part of the bandwagon opinions. I love my Pioneer head unit, the 4 volt preouts are awesome. For subs, I love JL audio, and their amps are top notch too. MTX also has good stuff, and the new line of Orion subs are sick, but way too much. Im running MB Quart Q-series mids, theyre also unbelievable, but again, too much. Pioneer and Alpine, check em out.

Yea you can't go wrong with Alpine or Pioneer, both of them make excellent products. You drive an integra? Heres some stuff to check out, i'm going to keep this as cheap as possible while still using components that will sound nice.
Head Unit: Pioneer & Alpine, very very good stuff.
Front Spkr: Infinity Reference 6.5" Component Set, this comes with 6.5" midbass & Tweeter.
Rear Spkr: 6.5" 2 way Infinity Reference 6.5" Coaxial. Do this last, see how it sounds with just new speakers up front.
Sub: Depending on how much trunk space you have, you could go with one 12" Alpine Type R, which sounds really nice, can't really get any better for what you pay. Also Pioneer's IMPP subs sound good and are really cheap.
Amps:Now i don't know if want to use 2 amps or not, but here is a US Acoustics that is 85x4 @ 4ohms rms (USX2080), you can run 85 watts rms to each component speaker, then like 170 to the sub, which is underpowering the sub, so it won't be hitting to full potential. Let me know if you wanna stay with just 1 amp or not, and i'll help you out some more with this. Hope this helps get you started, check this stuff out, and see what you think, let me know if you have any question.

If you are looking for cheaper, IMO Pretty much Car audio works on a percentile of quality, as you spend more the quality gets better, but there are some brands that you get good percentile for the money. EG. SONY percentile 55 for the same price as ALPINE 85. but as you near the 90's you find yourself spending way more money for just a single percentile of quality. I know I sound lame and like I'm in school but bear with me.
If you are looking for a system that sounds good but not orgasmatasmic then you don't have to spend much money. ALPINE H/U Infinity referance speakers and 12" Sub, and a 400 watt RMS amp.
If you spend gobs more money you will only improve your system smally. Stay cheap if you don't need to bump up and down the road. but stay away from Sony!!!
(For all of us who want and need each percentile point we can afford ROCK ON)
