Your subs are 4 ohm 350W continuous, with 2 of them you will need a 1x700W-800W RMS into 2 ohms mono block sub amp, or two 1x350W-400W RMS into 4 ohms mono block sub amps, there are a lot of them out there.

Well i was thinking of buying a brand new amp.
What is the difference between 2ohms and 4ohms? could i use an amp that has 500W x 1 (2 ohm mono) such as the phoenix gold OCTANE-R 5.0:1?
or would i be better with the OCTANE-R 4.0:2?

What is the difference between 2ohms and 4ohms?</TD></TR></TABLE> Technically 2 ohms.
Ohms is a measurement of resistance, in this case, simply put, 4 ohms is twice the resistance of 2 ohms.
With some, [most] amps the RMS output of the amp doubles when you half the resistance, EG: a mono amp that is 1x200W RMS into a 4 ohm load will be 1x400W RMS into a 2 ohm load, [and as mentioned, this is not the case with all amps].
In your case you have a 4 ohm 350W continuous, [RMS] sub, so if you are getting another amp find a mono block sub amp, [1 channel amp designed specifically for sub bass] that makes at least 1x350W RMS into 4 ohms, 1x400W RMS into 4 ohms would be better, IMO "overpowering" is better then "under-powering".

Octane series sucks IMO. PG along with everone else has slid down hill IMO.
I borrowed one of my firends Octane amps for my boat before I bought my own amp. Junk nothing but junk.

alright well i was thinking a JL audio 500/1 Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier but under rated power it says: 500 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm (11V-14.5V)
won't this make a big difference?
i was thinking of that amp, the infinity REF611A 600 Watt Class D amp
or a Sony XM2002GTR 2-channel Car Amplifier 200W RMS x 2
which one would be recomended?
