Default Volume help

what sup guys, i've been serching the answer of my problem. but found nothing.alrite, i have a Alplne mid-price Head, Rockford fosgate P5002 amp and Infinity 6000CS component speakers. but my problem is compare to my buddy's system, his is a lot LOUDER than mine( he has a pioneer head and some kenwood speaker and kenwood amp), i mean the average listening volume is 15-18. i dont have that kind of REAL loud feel, when i want to listen to real loud i have to turn it up all the way to 22 or 23. i dont think there is problem with the wiring. if i set the gain of the amp too high, the ''cheeeeeeeeeee'' sound make me very uncomfortable. it would be great if anyone can tell me what happen.
