Default Sub Problem

Alright, so I put in my system about a month ago (2 10" Pioneer Subs, Pioneer Head Unit, Xplode Amp, along with a capacitor I haven't bothered to hook up yet), and everything worked fine. I have monster cables running to everything. Well on my way home tonight, I turned the volume up to about 35 (it goes to 62, never listened to on that loud), and the bass dropped. There is a fuzzy distorted sound after about 15, with little bass. I checked the wiring breifly, amp, settings on everything, and checked for cracks in the subs. I'm a noob to this stuff, so what do you guys think may be the problem?

UPDATE! I checked out what I could, but saw nothing. The amp actually wasn't overheated... Everything worked fine, but the past 2 days now, my subs have been cutting out during a sharp turn, or bump (the bumps aren't even that bad), and am thinking something's loose. The only wiring I haven't checked is the wiring harness to the head unit. Any guess? I have to shut the car off, and then turn back on to get the subs working.

Have you checked the fuses on the battery and amp? Have you checked the coils on the subs? Could be a a blown sub or amp.

Model # of all equipment would be nice to know as well as the size of your power cable and ground.

Haha, I'm pretty sure I found the problem. The amp went into safe mode, and cut out to cool off. I'll keep an eye on everything...

If it did that you probably wired it up incorrectly.
