would it be better if i changed the tweeter in the car 96 civic where the mirros are when im already changing my speakers?

Unless you're installing tweeters as part of a component set, you're probably not going to notice a difference.

Just leave it be; if you're installing a good 2 or 3 way speaker down in the factory location, the tweeter(s) in those speakers will probably overpower the factory anyway.

Save yourself the money & time and worry about replacing the factory 6 1/2's.

Yeah i bought the 61/2 today the alpine once they come with the tweeters and the crossover. I just want clean and crisp sound. I know some stuff about audio but not that much?

Did you buy an amp to power them, too?? If not, you might as well leave your stockers in because they're not gonna sound too much different running off deck power...

if their type s youll be ok, if their type r then deff wait for an amp. but b18c ej8 is correct you need an amp to do either justice.

I know I but right know im trying to buy other stuff for the car and right now not that good financially? I got the crossover with the speakers what do they do?

The crossover simply separates the sound from the deck and sends the lows to the woofer and the highs to the tweeter...

why start something and not finish it, buy an amp to power the component set. That is like putting a turbo on your car and waiting to put on an intercooler because you want to buy rims instead.

Good job buying a component set tho, going for a coaxial is a step in the opposite direction.

I knew that I had to buy amplifier, but the store that I bought the speakers had sale and I still did not put them on cause I'm trying to buy an amp and right now I can not.
