TV Switch
Well, i tend to try and answer questions more than ask them, but i'm really stumped here guys, if any of you all looked at my monitor in my prelude it's behind the dash, where i won't be able to touch the power button, today i tried to hook up a switch for the remote turn on first for the TV that is, and then to the ignition power for the tv, it monitor turns off fine of course, but it won't turn back on, i really need a solution to this problem, the tv has a remote sensor on the left hand side of it but there's not remote, and i dont think they make one for my tv, so if anyone can think of something that'll allow me to turn the tv on and off without pushing the power button PLEASE post

If there is only one wire- you're unsure about where to hook it.. of course, when you supply power to a tv, it doesn't turn on until the switch is depressed. it's a momentary-on switch to get the current going. I wonder if you'd be able to dismantle the front of that TV switch and short the switch so it will come on when power is supplied.
Or, what if you drilled a small hole and used something like the trip reset **** to push the button in?
How about a universal remote?

that has nothing to do with anything, or maybe you misread the thread, the button is on the tv, the switch is IN a usable location but it can't provide enough power to actually turn the tv on, anyway yea i'm looking at a universal remote as we speak, i'm gonna see if my dad can bring me one home, if he can i'm hella set
and that push **** is a damn good idea since i lost my clock i have one, thanks for the heads up
BTW: There are 2 power supplies coming from the tv, Ignition and Remote Turn on, then of course a ground

Was thinking about that... if you now just glue some sort of stick on the button - it could stick out the hole and work. I assume the spring in the switch would make the stick come back out to it's original position.
