Default Subwoofer problems

Just wired up my subs to 2 ohm load and they sound great in the car but when i pop the trunk andlisten outside the car there is a popping noise sometimes also the bass seems to be delayed? How can i fix this is this a box issue? I think they should hit harder also.

ITs a profile ha700m with 2 12" kicker comps in a sealed box.

When do you hear the popping noise? If you play really loud? And the delay, well, the sub does have a bigger distance from you than your compo. But often it's also a problem of bad integration between compo and sub. You could try to invert the phase. What is the low pass frequency?

Popping noise starts around 25 volume of 35 and the low pass filter is all the way down.

There are a few things that will "overheat" an amp...
1- Too low a load, [impedance/ohms].
2- Driving amp into constant clipping, [distortion].
3- Poor current, [poor power or ground connections, too small a gauge power cable]. 94

Is it bett for my subs and amp if i set the gain lower and jsut use bass boost? As long as i dont clip? My amp
overheats a lot and was wondering if this would help.

Turning the gain down will help, but gain at 50%, ["half way"] should not be a problem.

It will not solve a low impedance or insufficient current problem. 94

PS, still need to know which comps you have.

Cause i was listening to music all night for about 30 min and the amp is very nice so is yea damn sun haha. The popping noise is gone also and phased up right thanks.
