sub making a squeaking noise?
Ive got a 10" Alpine Type-R in my teg.. But lately when the bass is hitting pretty hard i hear this high pitched squeaking noise. Its only when the volume is up pretty high, and the music is mostly bass. When the highs kick in you cant hear it anymore... It isnt too loud, but you can definately hear it, and its annoying.
Could this mean my sub is blown? Its not the rattling sound that a blown speaker usually makes, but i dont know what else it could be. It didnt always do this... Do you think its blown, or are the vibrations from the bass making something else in the car move and squeak?
Any ideas?

once my friend and i had that problem.. some how the sub box started splitting apart.. either it was rolling around in the trunk or the subs were just that crazy.. mite want to check the box and see if its that.
John666 is right, if your playing it LOUD you may be blowing the box apart ,or you are "clipping" the amp at high volume and have burnt the voice coil at the end of its throw and its shorting out the amp , and the sound you hear is the outputs screeming stop it.
