i have a 12 inch rockford punch z piece of crap hooked up to an xplod piece of crap amp (till my 15s come in.) itll hit fine for a while, and pretty nice actually, then it will just stop, the amp remains on, but nothing from the sub, then it will hit for a few seconds and stop again..and so on. i think the amp is puttin out around 400wrms. the sub is 150 rms, i dont care if it blows...but is that why it cuts out like that?

yeh. it is but it would never cut out like that when i had 2 of the subs hooked up. i dont know. the one 12 smokes occasionaly, so its probably about dead. ill try it at 200w instead of 400 see if that helps.
