Well I will have about 350wrms to play with here, and it will be in a sealed enclosure in the back of my 95 integra (hatchback). So which of the following 2 subs do you recommend?

1) Alpine 12" dual 2 ohm Type R (4ohm mono)
2) JL Audio 12" W3V2 dual 2 ohm

Please state your reasons

what impedance is your amp stable too, sounds like alpine amp maybe? regardless, i would get the W3. My questioning of what the amp is stable to is because you have two Dvc 2ohm subs listed, meaning either you want to go to 4 or 1 ohm. most likely i am guessing your amp is stable to 2 ohms, and in that case i would go with a dvc 4 ohm sub. but the amps minimum impedance is important.

 

well its stable at 4ohm mono bridges but im gonna try it at 2

 

the amp will run hot if u bridge it at 2 ohm. get the jl w3v2. very good sub. hit deep and loud and they can be wire to 4 ohm.

 

don't go to 2 ohms if your amp isn't rated for it.

 

They are both awesome subs, but i stand by JL. No other company makes better subs. That W3 will slump hella hard.

 

what amp are you running?

 

Ive always was a jl fan but one of boys has the type r it slams and its not too much money i guess it just on how much you what to spend and what your going to run.
