Default amp problems, did search.

heres the story.

i had a sony deck which recently died and was replaced with a new deck installed today. right when the sony deck was dying the amp would go into protect mode.
basically the sound from the sony will slowly fade and the amp will go to protect. i first though something was wrong with the wiring, ground and power wires all are fine. the wire from amp to speaker also fine without any shorts. so wires are out of the question. now, i installed the new deck today and amp wont turn on and stay in protect mode. remote, ground, and power wires all are fine. i used a spare amp to test the wires and it works. but this *** wont. is it possible the amp killed the sony deck? or vise versa? i have a autotek mx500 and now running on some 200 watt MTX. anyone might have a clue on whats goin on? i think the amp jus killed everything, i dont know. help guys, and girls.

thanks. for you.
